Another Air Force veteran of 21 years, Deacon Raul declared that he “felt the Holy Spirit working through him,” becoming a Permanent Deacon of St. Jude on February 1, 2015. A parishioner of St. Jude since 1999, Deacon Raul was a self-employed businessman who owned ARMAC printing company for decades. Enjoying being of service to others, he is a regular volunteer with St. Jude’s Food Pantry as part of his outreach ministry. He belongs to the Basic Christian Community of Hawaii (BCCH), a movement under the Catholic Church that studies Jesus’ Word to live more fully the life of a believer.
