Our mission is to help provide a healthy and safe environment for our clergy, staff, and parish participants in all activities and services in all conditions including crisis and contingencies.

To reach out to our Parish members of St. Jude an attitude of service, to help and answer of service questions of concern and to be sure we follow the policies set-up by the Catholic Diocese of Honolulu.

Basic Christian Community of Hawaii is a lay movement of the Roman Catholic Church, operating with full Diocesan approval. Our spiritual guides and advisors are Very Rev. Gary Secor (Vicar General) and Sr. Mary Jo McEnany, OSB

The primary role of the altar serv-er is to assist the priest in the celebration of the Eucharistic liturgy. This is done through specific actions and by setting an example to the congregation by active participation in the liturgy (hymns, responses, etc.), by looking alert and sitting or standing at the ap-propriate times.
